Description

The Hotone Ampero II Press is a compact passive expression pedal with an integrated footswitch, designed to give musicians both real-time parameter control and convenient effect switching from a single unit.

Unlike conventional expression pedals that only control effect parameters, the Ampero II Press adds a dedicated footswitch, allowing you to change the status of compatible effects units without reaching for their built-in controls. Its passive design requires no power supply, while the solid aluminum enclosure and responsive mechanical construction make it suitable for both stage and studio use.

Expression Control + Footswitch

The Ampero II Press combines two essential functions in one compact pedal:

  • Expression pedal for real-time parameter control
  • Built-in footswitch for switching compatible effects functions

Pressing the front section of the pedal activates the integrated switch, providing a more convenient workflow than using a separate expression pedal and external footswitch.

Precise, Responsive Control

A high-quality 10 kΩ linear potentiometer provides smooth and predictable expression control. The pedal is designed to respond accurately to gradual movements, making it suitable for controlling parameters such as:

  • Volume
  • Wah
  • Delay
  • Reverb
  • Modulation
  • Pitch
  • Other assignable effect parameters

Enhanced Footswitch Feedback

The Ampero II Press uses a mechanical "click" footswitch rather than a soft rubber-style switch. This provides clear tactile feedback when the switching point is reached, helping musicians confidently control their effects during live performances.

Independent Outputs

The pedal provides separate connections for expression and footswitch functions:

  • EXP OUT — expression control
  • FS OUT — momentary footswitch control

This allows both functions to be connected independently to compatible multi-effects processors and other equipment.

Wide Compatibility

Although designed to pair naturally with Hotone equipment such as the Ampero II Stage, the Ampero II Press can also be used with compatible effects processors from other manufacturers.

Its dual-output design makes it suitable for devices featuring separate expression and footswitch inputs.

Passive Design

The Ampero II Press uses a completely passive circuit, so it does not require a battery or external power supply.

This makes it easy to add to an existing pedalboard without increasing power requirements.

Durable Pedalboard Construction

The enclosure is made from solid aluminum alloy, providing a combination of durability and low weight. Its compact footprint makes it easy to integrate into pedalboards where space is limited.
