Description

The Fulltone Mini DejaVibe Mk II (CS-MDV mkII) is a compact, fully analog modulation pedal designed to faithfully recreate the distinctive sound and movement of the classic vintage Univibe. Despite its reduced footprint, the Mk II delivers a large, three-dimensional "vibe" sound with the organic pitch modulation and pulsating character associated with the original analog circuit.

Using a 100% analog signal path, discrete transistors, custom photoresistors, and an incandescent lamp, the Mini DejaVibe Mk II avoids digital processing and reproduces the characteristic warble and depth of a vintage Univibe-style circuit.

Authentic Vintage Univibe Circuit

The Mk II retains the original-style analog oscillator and uses 13 discrete transistors with no ICs or op-amps in the audio path. Fulltone's proprietary glass-lens, hermetically sealed photocells and correctly specified incandescent bulb contribute to the natural modulation response.

The result is a rich, organic modulation effect that works particularly well with clean, overdriven, and heavily distorted guitar tones.

Expanded Speed Range

Compared with earlier DejaVibe models, the Mk II offers a significantly wider speed range, including much slower and faster modulation rates. A custom Fulltone photoresistor replaces the conventional Speed potentiometer, while retaining the character of the original Univibe oscillator.

The Speed control also features a linear response, making it easier to find precise modulation speeds without the abrupt changes found on many vintage-style vibe circuits.

Expression Pedal Control

An external expression pedal can be connected to the dedicated expression pedal input, allowing real-time control over modulation speed. The Mk II is compatible with expression pedals using a wide range of potentiometer values, including 10K, 50K, and 100K types.

High Output & Low Impedance

The Mini DejaVibe Mk II provides approximately twice the available volume of many traditional vibe-style pedals, helping the effect remain prominent in a dense band mix. Its low output impedance also helps prevent the pedal from being negatively affected by devices placed later in the signal chain.

Compact Pedalboard Design

The Mk II uses an enclosure approximately 30% smaller than previous Mini DejaVibe models, while retaining top-mounted connections for convenient placement on compact pedalboards.
