The AxLabs Tone Claw is a heavy-duty locking tremolo spring claw designed to improve sustain, tonal response, and tuning stability on electric guitars equipped with tremolo systems. CNC-machined from solid brass and weighing approximately four times as much as a traditional spring claw, the Tone Claw provides a more substantial and secure connection between the tremolo springs and claw.
Its integrated locking clamp plate secures the spring hoop ends against the form-fitting posts, significantly increasing contact between the springs and the claw. This construction helps reduce spring movement and prevents the springs from shifting or popping out during aggressive tremolo use.
The Tone Claw is designed to improve the transfer of vibrational energy through the tremolo system. Instead of losing energy at the limited contact points of a conventional claw, the enhanced spring-to-claw connection helps transfer vibration into the solid brass Tone Claw and back through the springs toward the sustain block.
