The Hotone Ampero Mini MP50VN is an ultra-compact amp modeling and multi-effects processor that delivers the signature sound of the Ampero family in a lightweight aluminum enclosure. Powered by Hotone's CDCM HD + F.I.R.E. modeling technology and a dual-core DSP platform, it combines professional-quality amp and effects modeling with a touchscreen interface, third-party IR support, acoustic simulation, looping, drum patterns, and USB audio functionality.
Designed for guitarists who need maximum versatility in a minimal footprint, the Ampero Mini is equally suitable for live performance, practice, recording, rehearsals, and compact pedalboards.
Ampero-Grade Modeling in a Compact Format
The Ampero Mini uses Hotone's CDCM HD + F.I.R.E. modeling system to reproduce the dynamic response and tonal characteristics of amplifiers, cabinets, and effects.
Its dual-core processing platform provides sufficient processing power for multiple high-quality effects while maintaining a responsive user interface.
The modeling library includes:
- 199 total effects
- 100+ amp, cabinet, and legendary pedal models
- Hotone original drive, dynamics, filter, modulation, delay, and reverb effects
- Next-generation microphone position and microphone type simulations
- Third-party IR support
- Acoustic guitar simulation
Up to 9 Simultaneous Effects
The Ampero Mini can run up to 9 effect modules simultaneously, with an editable signal chain that allows you to arrange effects according to your preferred setup.
Third-party impulse responses can be loaded through the USB connection, allowing you to further customize cabinet and speaker tones.
Acoustic Guitar Simulation
A dedicated input design supports both electric and acoustic instruments. Built-in acoustic simulation algorithms allow you to transform the sound of an electric guitar into convincing miked acoustic-style tones, including steel-string and nylon-string sounds.
This makes the Ampero Mini particularly useful for performers who need access to acoustic sounds without carrying an additional instrument.
Touchscreen Interface
Despite its compact footprint, the Ampero Mini features a 4-inch 800 × 480 color touchscreen. The intuitive interface provides direct access to effects, patches, signal-chain editing, and system settings.
New +/- buttons provide additional fast switching control, while customizable display themes, colors, and language settings allow you to personalize the interface.
Practice & Performance Tools
The Ampero Mini includes a built-in drum machine with 100 rhythm patterns and a looper for creating layered performances.
The looper supports:
- Up to 100 seconds of mono recording
- Up to 50 seconds of stereo recording
- Half-speed playback
- Reverse playback
With its compact size and external controller connection, the Ampero Mini can also be integrated into a larger pedalboard setup.
USB Audio Interface
The USB-C connection allows the Ampero Mini to function as a USB audio interface for recording and streaming.
It supports:
- Windows with compatible ASIO drivers
- Plug-and-play connection with macOS
- Mobile recording with compatible smartphones
- Firmware updates
- Preset management
- Effect and IR management
- USB audio recording
The Aux input allows you to connect a phone or music player for backing tracks while practicing or playing along with music.
Flexible Connections
The Ampero Mini can be connected directly to an amplifier, FX loop return, power amp, mixer, audio interface, headphones, or pedalboard.
A dedicated TRS expression pedal input allows additional external control, while the stereo output provides authentic stereo processing.

Great for the beginning musician as well as seasoned.
The size and capabilities of this thing are endless!!! Does it sound like some of those higher priced multi effects. But trust me. Your drunk audience isn't going to be able to tell. It does everything I need it to.
Good
Does the job
Sturdy
Nice screen
Seems like its a bunch a “versions” of clean, distorted etc. hard to set up new patches
I’ve resolved to transition to an Amp Processor to relieve my Lower Back and Knees(both now replaced - Left & Right) from hauling Amps around. Some Multi-Effects Processors appear too steeply priced for my budget and consideration, but the Hotone Ampero Mini seemed to have the best combination of low price, small size, & features. Some reviews indicated that it takes pedals well, So, I decided to give it a go as a possible Fly-Rig Base. My style of music includes Jazz, Blues, and R&B, so I’m definitely interested in the CLEAN Amp Models. My initial tests, so far, involve feeding it into a Motu-M4 Audio Interface via Mackie MDB-1A Direct Box and out to PreSonus E3.5 Mini Monitors. This should simulate going direct to Front-Of-House in a Live Gigging Situation or going direct to a PA for Rehearsals with the Band. For some reason, the Hotone Website page for downloading the Windows Software is not available, so I’m unable to test the USB-to-PC Performance. There are basically 10 CLEAN Amp Models, so after trying all the default presets, I assigned the 10 CLEAN Amps to P01 - P10 as P01-1(Tweed Lux - Rhythm), P01-2(Tweed Lux - Lead 1), P01-3(Tweed Lux - Lead 2), … P10-1(BassmanBrt - Rhythm),P10-2(BassmanBrt - Lead 1),P10-3(BassmanBrt - Lead 2). From there, I will play around with the Effects, CABS, Delays, Reverbs, etc. to see what works best. Those 10 sound quite good already with minimal tweaking, but it’s good to have some flexibility there. I’ve found the TouchScreen Interface to be quite intuitive, such that I’m not bothered much by the current unavailability of the Windows Software. However, because of the software unavailability, I will not give it a 5.
On the Price, Size, Ease of Use, Feature Set and Quality of the CLEAN Amps, I will give it a 4.
Don't have this, just love the display photo, lol.
Great bang-for-buck. Super fast shipping. Amazing sounds, and simple to use.
...loops cannot be stored and are lost when the unit is powered off. Unfortunately, that was the deal breaker for me as I though this one unit was going to replace a few of my pedals. Otherwise, this is a great all in one pedal.
